Steps to make to make Lasagna

  1. Brown meat and drain; add rest of Sauce ingredients. Simmer uncovered until sauce is thick (45 minutes to 1 hour).
  2. Cook noodles and drain. (I usually skip this, and it still turns out really good.)
  3. Combine Cheese Mixture ingredients in separate bowl.
  4. Put a little sauce on the bottom of a 9x13 baking dish; alternate noodles, sauce, and cheese mixture. End with a little sauce on top of noodles. Sprinkle mozzarella on top.
  5. Bake at 375°F for 30 minutes.
  6. Optional--you can add Velveeta cheese with layers. Also, this is a great recipe to make ahead and freeze. When ready, thaw, cover with foil, bake for 30 minutes, then uncover and bake until heated thru and cheese is melted.
